What changed within your leadership through your experience working with Harborbridge?

Before Harborbridge, I was basing my leadership style mostly on experiences (good and bad) I myself had with previous managers. Thanks to the incredible tools I learned working with Harborbridge, I acquired a more strategic approach to leadership that allows me to confidently navigate easy and difficult conversations, with reports as well as with upper management, and encourages me to constantly reflect on and fine-tune my leadership capabilities.

What impact has this change had on your team and your ability to lead?

I strongly believe that many, if not most, workplace issues, be it interpersonal conflict or problems with productivity, arise from a lack of efficient communication and subsequent misunderstandings, misconceptions and even resentments. The toolset Anna and Katie provided has made working with my team a breeze and likely prevented a lot of conflicts that could arise from communication issues.

How was this program different from other leadership trainings that you have participated in previously?

I'd describe Harborbridge's approach to leadership training as "holistic" and "sustainable", and that truly makes it stand out from other programs. Katie and Anna don't simply provide tools for strong-armed leadership decisions, but rather strategies to create a safe, respectful and productive team culture that creates knowledgeable and conscious leaders and allows all team members to thrive.

What changed within your leadership through your experience working with Harborbridge?

Adapting my leadership style to each individual and what they value improved my ability to lead my team and improved their skills. Additionally, I saw improvement in my overall confidence, specifically in my presence and verbal and written communication.

What impact has this change had on your team and your ability to lead?

I am more productive with my time and have delegated more of my tasks. This helps me channel more energy into leading and also gives my direct reports more confidence and independence within their roles. My team is overall functioning better and more efficiently than before.

How was this program different from other leadership trainings that you have participated in previously?

Working one-on-one is the biggest piece for me. It allowed a safe space to discuss ideas freely, whereas group settings can be intimidating. Working one-on-one gives you the ability to work through actual events that you are dealing with as a leader, so you are constantly improving and gaining new applicable skills.

Also, the concepts feel very fresh and thoughtful. I have taken other leadership courses where I left feeling like I already knew all of the points that were taught.
