Sisters. Founders.

Anna Herrington (CEO) and Katie Tuite (COO) grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington, a working waterfront community in the heart of the South Puget Sound. With a shared family history in industry and teaching, they built Harborbridge to be the bridge between the two.

Early Foundations

Built from the ground up.

Our story begins in the early 1900s with Grandpa George, who rose from humble beginnings in a small mining town to become an entrepreneur by identifying real needs and creating his own opportunities.

Of his many ventures, our favorite is how he contracted with sheep farmers to shovel manure, then repurposed and sold it as fertilizer to crop farmers. It was simple, practical, and effective. That ingenuity helped him survive the Great Depression and eventually build Herrington's Electrical Contractors, serving the Spokane Valley for many years.

Grandpa George and Herrington's Electric established a legacy for our family and instilled in us a deep respect for the people and work behind construction and infrastructure.

Setting the Stage

Born to teach.

Our family is full of teachers. Our mom is a music teacher, our dad is a former band director and there are many more teachers within our extended family. Over 30 years ago, our mom founded a children's community chorus in Tacoma, Washington, which is still going strong and has been a source of inspiration for thousands of young people, including us, her daughters.

Throughout our childhood, there were many conversations around the dinner table about daily life as a teacher. Those conversations shaped our understanding of what makes a good teacher: meeting a student where they're at, illustrating ideas with examples, providing space to practice, discuss and ask questions.

Bridging Past to Present

Harborbridge Today

Built on this legacy of trades and teaching, Harborbridge provides workforce training and coaching for the Pacific Northwest infrastructure industry. We hold multi-year contracts with Sound Transit and Port of Portland, provide training for local construction companies and state apprenticeship programs including AJAC and ANEW.

We are a certified Women-Owned Small Business and proud active members of WTS Puget Sound and COMTO Washington, organizations that reflect both our industry focus and our commitment to the people within it.

This commitment extends beyond our client work. We stay closely connected to our local community through organizations like Workforce Central and the Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force, supporting efforts that strengthen the workforce and the regions we call home.
